The site is interviewing for a diversion manager who will be in constant contact with the community. They have interviewed attorneys but want to know what features to look for in a good diversion manager and if an attorney will be the most appropriate professional for the role. Conference call set for December 22nd for Pippa Barrett with Smart Prosecution Site Project Manager Mark Kammerer to discuss qualifications for diversion coordinator. Pippa Barrett provided with proposed questions for diversion coordinator candidate interviews on 12/18/16.

They would like to use the Ohio Risk Assessment Tool. They do not know how to implement it or use it. They would like administrative training and support on the tool. The site will not need this set up until all of their hiring is complete. On 12/18/15 Beth Merachnik spoke with Jesse Janetta and staff at the Urban Institute, a risk assessment clearinghouse. Jesse Janetta will provide SME to Pippa Barrett on January 6, 2016 conference call to discuss risk needs assessment tools to inform Pippa before she selects a specific tool selection.

conference call for Jose, Will, Ofelia of Los Angeles City Attorney's Office with Mark Kammerer in Chicago to discuss eligibility and offenses for pre-trial diversion. Mark to provide Jose with Stats. Jose may use Mark’s data for PD command staff for expanding INTERCEPT offenses.

The Criminal Court Assessment Tool (CCAT) is a new, brief assessment tool that identifies an offender’s risk level of reoffending prior to case disposition, while also screening for key needs which, if treated, would be expected to lower the risk of reoffending. The Center for Court Innovation developed this tool to fill a gap in existing risk-needs assessment tools, which have primarily been designed to be implemented post-sentencing and with serious offenders.

Call with Renee Breazeale on Ocotiber 19, 2015. She provided additional information regarding the reasons why SAFE Court Participants/Houston may be reluctant to use public transportation. There will be follow up with Ann Johnson regarding the information I received from Renee Breazeale. During a November 25, 2015 call with Ann Johnson, she indicated she would raise the issue at a staff meeting and then we can discuss next steps. Possible conference call with Renee Breazeale and Houston SAFE Court Team members to be coordinated.

Provided one page memo (October 14th) to Ann Johnson, Harris County regarding my October 5th conversation with Dr. Martha Felini, Associate Professor of Epidemiology at University of North Texas Health Science Center and her husband, Sgt.
