The national workshop will provide a valuable opportunity to share information, network with other RSAT corrections healthcare professionals, and learn about the latest evidence-based findings in RSAT programming. There will be a special emphasis on the challenge of maximizing and blending federal and community resources for RSAT success. There will be breakout sessions on veterans' special needs, medication-assisted treatment, and co-occurring disorders.

The HERO Program is dedicated to connecting appropriate Behavioral Health Court (BHC) participants to temporary housing in an effort to secure employment and long-term housing. The site visit between the Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center, Hero Program, and Behavioral Health Court staff members focused on the following objectives: how to develop public communication strategies, how to collect meaningful data, how to relate data to internal staff and external partners, and how to develop new housing and employment opportunities while strengthening existing relationships.

Our primary activity is the ongoing provision of Training and Technical Assistance to functioning PDMPs, newly legislated PDMPs, Indian Health Services, Federal partners and others interested in issues related to PDMPs. This is primarily done by responding to requests submitted by PDMPs, federal partners and other stakeholders by email, through our website, or over the phone. During this time period, TTAC handled 231 requests for assistance.

The Tulalip Tribe will be hosting a pre-conference event on June 10, 2014 featuring their Tribal Courts and Law Enforcement at 1:00pm. Representatives from the Tulalip Tribe will showcase successful court and law enforcement projects featuring multi-disciplinary approaches to collaboration.
The American Indian Justice Conference offers tribes across the nation an opportunity to learn strategies to enhance tribal justice systems while providing essential information on court development, drug and alcohol abuse, probation and parole, SORNA Implementation, and other relevant topics.
