Kreiner presented on Risk Behaviors, Morbidity and Mortality: Validation study of PBSS Prescriber Risk Indicators.
Kreiner developed and presented (with Mike Small, from CA PDMP) at the National Rx Drug Summit in Atlanta, GA the presentation on PDMPs as Prevention Tools.
Conducted regular PBSS Oversight Committee meetings, including participants from CDC, FDA, BJA, SAMHSA, the PDMP participating states and the PDMP Training and Technical Assistance Center.
While the Access to Treatment project initially focused on connections to post-release addictions treatment, the focus of this meeting will be on how to improve pre-release strategies to more efficiently and effectively connect people to treatment. Essential pre-release components of a comprehensive continuity of care strategy include: identification of individual treatment needs, analysis of the criminal justice system capacity for treatment, engagement in pre-release interventions, and reentry planning.
This webinar wasfor the FY2015 Second Chance Act grantees focused on adult offenders with co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. During the webinar, BJA staff provided an overview of the Second Chance Act, requirements of the co-occurring disorders grant, and grant management. NRRC staff provided an overview of the training, technical assistance, research, tools, and Planning & Implementation (P&I) Guide related to the grant.
At the Second Chance Act Conference we held two sessions that outlined this project’s work. The first was called Access to Treatment: Bringing NIATx to Corrections, the second was Process Measures at the Interface of Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health.
