CNA participated in the BJA Smart Prosecution kick off meeting February 24-25, 2015 in Washington, DC. Chip Coldren provided an overview of Smart Policing and crime analytics on February 25.

From June 29 to 30, 2015, BJA and CNA convened the inaugural meeting for the Phase VI SPI sites in Boston, MA. This meeting provided an opportunity for site participants to gather together as a community of practice to discuss important issues pertaining to Smart Policing, such as challenges and lessons learned during project implementation, research partnerships, analytics and evidence-based policing, community engagement, technology, and sustainability of innovations.

CNA SPI staff and site assigned SMEs conducted site visits to the four new SPI sites (Henderson on 4/20, Toledo on 4/9-10, Portland on 4/3, Miami on 4/16). The SPI sites were also asked to complete the SPI Capacity Assessment prior to the site visits. The assessments were reviewed by SMEs and discussed at the site visits.

CADENA seeks to empower intelligence sharing for the HIDTA Domestic Highway Enforcement (DHE) Strategy in its interdiction of drugs, currency, weapons, people, and other contraband traveling through designated U.S. corridors. The PM-ISE/IIR team also received a demonstration of the mobile technology and analytic platform at Palantir's offices in Washington DC.
