Join fellow STOP grantees to hear updates from NCSS and network beyond your region through small group discussions, which will focus on preparing for the next school year. You will also have the opportunity to listen to a short presentation by the University of South Florida, as they share what influences the implementation of violence prevention and mental health programs in STOP grant projects. The meeting will wrap up with a time for you to share back to the large group and hear from others throughout the four regions.

This webinar discusses the FY2022 STOP School Violence Grant Program solicitation and details of grant proposal submission requirements for awards provided through the BJA, COPS Office, and OJJDP. The FY 2019 Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Grant Program is designed to improve school security by providing students and teachers with the tools they need to recognize, respond quickly to, and help prevent acts of violence.

The National Center for School Safety provides one-on-one technical assistance to STOP grantees. This Intensive TA has been offered since January 2021, and is provided to select agencies requiring more assistance. The Association of Alaskan School Boards was one of these agencies. TA Specialists have been in contact with The Association of Alaskan School Boards since 11/4/2021, with their intake meeting occurring on 12/1/2021. There have been 3 additional follow-up meetings to date since their intake. All 3 of those follow-up meetings occurred in the reporting period January-June 2022.
