Virtual task force orientation meeting for the 13 Purpose Area 1 and 2 FY2019-funded Enhanced Collaborative Model human trafficking task forces. This meeting opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and sharing, training, and grant administration.
Michigan State University, School of Criminal Justice (MSU) received the 2018 award for Category 1 Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) provider. MSU will work with CNA (Category 2) and NCVC (Category 3) throughout the grant period to provide assistance to the national PSN program, BJA, OLP, EOUSA and any other entity requesting assistance implementing PSN strategies.
Provide web-based training to the law enforcement community on a wide range of topics related to digital investigations and relevant technologies. This potentially includes webinars, virtual workshops, self-paced learning, and instructor led courses.
Program to place current college students studying digital forensics and related fields in professional internships that support law enforcement.
The Law Enforcement/First Responder Diversion and Referral Mentoring Initiative provides communities interested in starting diversion or referral programs the opportunity to learn from established or innovative programs that have shown success in meeting the treatment needs of individuals with a substance use disorder, and in some cases an overdose. Seven sites have been chosen to act as mentors for newer programs that are trying to establish a first responder diversion program.
Had a call on February 6th with the Riverside County Human Trafficking Task Force to discuss the Purpose Area 3 peer support deliverable status.
