Fort Pierce, FL, one of the district's new target enforcement area, requested TTA on investigations and prosecution strategies for gangs and guns cases. They requested that this training also include strategies for relationship building between law enforcement and prosecution stakeholders.

Our speaker proposal was accepted and we were invited to present at the 2020 Human Trafficking Summit which launches on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Speakers include Jane Anderson, AEquitas, and Kim Nash, International Association of Forensic Nurses. The topic will be " A SANE approach to Human Trafficking".

AEquitas participated in a call on January 7, 2020 with the Las Vegas Human Trafficking Task Force to address needs related to investigating and charging money laundering, prosecuting cases involving immigrant victims, and using expert witnesses. Follow up via email was given including resources, contact information for subject matter experts, and answers to questions asked on the call.

On June 24, 2020 IACP hosted the Analyzing Culpability/Charging Decisions in Human Trafficking Cases. This presentation was designed to improve human trafficking responses and to better investigate and prosecute traffickers while ensuring that victims are not inappropriately charged with crimes they are forced to commit.
