CSG Justice Center staff and consultants from the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys conducted a virtual site visit with FY20 J-JMHCP Maryland Office of Public Defender (OPD) grantee. During the first day of the virtual site visit, CSG Justice Center staff engaged the Maryland OPD team and partners in discussions on reviewing the goals of the J-JMHCP project and policies/procedures for collaborating with prosecutors to identify, refer and accept participants during the pilot phase.

The NDCRC gave an introductory presentation at the invitation of the Center for Court Innovation for their semi-annual state coordinators meeting on January 27, 2022. Co-directors Dr. Kristen DeVall and Dr. Christina Lanier reviewed NDCRC resources including operational documents, evaluation recommendations, the interactive map of treatment courts, webinars, research, Drug Court Review journal, the NDCRC newsletter, and original Justice to Healing podcast.

NDCRC co-directors Dr. Christina Lanier and Dr. Kristen DeVall reached out to state associations during spring 2022 to introduce the NDCRC. The California Association of Collaborative Courts (CACC) was very interested in the California state report distributed to the state coordinators as a result of their Painting the Current Picture survey response. On June 2, 2022, with the permission of state coordinators, Dr. Lanier and Dr. DeVall presented these findings to the CACC Racial Justice Equity and Inclusion Workgroup.

NDCRC co-directors Kristen DeVall and Christina Lanier participated in the National Drug Court Institute's Drug Court U program, during which they met virtually with representatives from individual courts who had requested time slots. For April 12-13, 2022, the theme for Drug Court U was data collection.

NDCRC co-directors Kristen DeVall and Christina Lanier participated in the National Drug Court Institute's Drug Court U program, during which they met virtually with representatives from individual courts who had requested time slots. For March 25 and 28, 2022, the theme for Drug Court U was grant writing; assistance would have focused on courts' needs in this area.

NDCRC staff fielded inquiries related to research and practice in the field as well as NDCRC updates. These questions were received primarily via the NDCRC email, individual staff emails, and the contact page of the NDCRC website. Between January 1 and June 30, 2022, staff addressed via email approximately 2,000 questions about the NDCRC, treatment courts, or other resources.

NDCRC will host a webinar with BJA Policy Advisors Gregory Torain, Dr. Courtney Stewart, and Nicko Taylor to provide detailed information on the BJA FY 22 Adult Drug Court Discretionary Grant Program The session will incorporate an interactive question and answer session; it will also be recorded and available for viewing after initial broadcasting.
