A CJFG meeting was held on July 26–27, 2018, in Washington, DC. This meeting focused on law enforcement forecasting, specifically the identification of future law enforcement-related issues and trends and discussions on potential outcomes that can help organizations anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities. Over the 1½-day meeting, multiple topic areas were addressed, including technology; administration; partnerships, collaboration, and regionalization; and communications and branding.
Center staff organized and hosted a structured site visit to the Midtown Community Court for Courtney White, Court Administrator at the Bothell Municipal Court in Washington. The site visit included court observation, meeting with the judge and other key players, and talking with on-site social service providers.
