The Tucson, Arizona, Police Department (PD) requested National Public Safety Partnership support in setting up a peer exchange to Denver, Colorado, to tour and discuss the Denver PD’s Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC). The Tucson PD requested Denver because it wanted to learn from an agency that also deploys the Firefly gunshot detection system.

Upon BJA’s request, Humberto Cardounel and Joseph Milek from the NRTAC team attended BJA’s Violent Crime Reduction Summit in Indianapolis, Indiana. Additionally, an Indianapolis Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF) site tour was arranged so Mr. Cardounel and Mr. Milek could see a high-functioning regional CGIC.
