Objective 1: Develop standards for local jurisdictions and state criminal justice agencies that will result in data being accurately and comprehensively aggregated at the state and national levels. (Tier 2 metrics and TIGs)
In August the first four metrics committees (Jails, Prisons, Law Enforcement and Community Supervision) met. The committees accepted most of the recommendations that came out of public feedback.

Objective 5: Develop and run a national campaign to educate criminal justice agency leaders, policymakers, and the public about the Justice Counts metrics. (Website Work)
In July, CSG Justice Center staff worked toward a finalized design of the Prison Dashboard.
The request for proposals (RFP) for agency dashboard design, development, and deployment closed on August 21 with ten proposals from contractors received. CSG Justice Center staff reviewed the proposals and will make a selection to move the dashboard work forward.

Objective 2: Develop tools and make them available to states and other interested jurisdictions (publisher).
Work for this objective is now complete with the development and implementation of the Justice Counts Publisher.

In July, CSG Justice Center staff completed the analysis of the Tier 2 public feedback and began formatting it into a series of recommendations that the subcommittees will consider in their next meeting.?

In July, CSG Justice Center staff worked towards finalizing the design of the prison dashboard for BJA approval.?CSG's Research Division also took steps to create an internal data visualization team that will work to make dashboards and data stories happen quickly and internally.?
