We initiated a training audit at the Allendale Correctional Institution to be held October 16-21, 2022. We hosted a kickoff call and follow-up meetings with the facility. However, due to several circumstances, we had to cancel this training audit in early September.

The PRC conducted approximately 10 one-hour demonstrations/tutorials of the PREA Online Audit System for agency- and facility-based users (e.g. PREA Coordinators and PREA Compliance Managers) or auditors. The one-hour webinars also included a Q&A portion.

The Spring 2022 delivery of PREA 101 is a unique and exclusive opportunity provided by the National PREA Resource Center, in partnership with the PREA Management Office at the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) in the U.S. Department of Justice, specifically for BJA?s PREA grantees.

IDOC requested on-site investigator training

New PREA Coordinator needs Coaching/training on the PREA Audit process. TA will include an overview of PREA standards and how to prepare for an audit including the audit process.

Riverview Center, a sexual assault and domestic violence advocacy organization is requesting
training and technical assistance for its staff on working with incarcerated survivors. Riverview
Center serves clients in both Iowa and Illinois, and this TA will target Illinois-based staff.

The Los Angeles Police Department operates six (6) temporary holding facilities across the City
of Los Angeles. The previous PREA Coordinator retired, and Sgt. Meredith Cline is the new PREA
Coordinator, assigned as a collateral duty. Sgt. Cline has 27 years with LAPD, but is relatively
new to PREA and the standard requirements. She is committed to keeping the people in LAPD
custody safe and seeks to understand the PREA standards and their operationalization in a
lockup setting.

Provide Collier County Sheriffs Office Jail (CCSOJ), located in Naples Florida with coaching and review of PREA standards, the role of PREA coordinator, and how to prepare for an audit.
