Center staff did not work on updating the Tribal RNR tool this reporting period as the tool was piloting. Piloting and data analysis will help determine what questions should remain in the final tool and which questions should be removed because they are not related to recidivism and/or not helpful for case management. Center staff sought feedback about the phrasing of questions from piloting during quarterly tool administrator meetings.

Center for Justice Innovation (Center) research staff met to create a timeline for publication for the literature review. Center staff decided to split the literature review into two publications. The first would be submitted to a scientific journal for publication and the second review would be a guide to tribal justice practitioners published on the Center’s website and made widely available for public distribution. Center staff also reviewed recent changes in articles published on the topic to ensure that the literature review is up to date with current research.

On June 22-24, 2021, the Body-worn Camera (BWC) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team, in partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), held the 2020 BWC TTA Virtual National Meeting. This meeting was primarily intended for FY 2020 BWC Policy and Implementation Program (PIP) grant agencies, but was also open to previous years' grantees. Members of the BWC TTA Team, subject matter experts (SMEs), and representatives from BJA and JSS also participated in the meeting. Due to COVID-19, this meeting was held in a virtual format again.
