During this quarterly Innovators call, the Stepping Up partners welcomed new Innovator Counties to the network and provided an overview of the Stepping Up strategic planning process. The partners also walked the counties through a proposal to categorize the Innovator Counties based on the data and information they share and how they can engage with the network. Innovator Counties discussed current projects and focus areas, and the Stepping Up partners previewed some forthcoming resources with the counties. There were 25 counties represented on the call.

TTA request was received from ChristianaCare in Delaware. Altarum hosted a virtual call to address their concerns and questions.

Meetings with DuPage County were held on October 13, November 6, and December 4, 2023. These meetings included the TA coach, IJIS Institute, North East DuPage Family & Youth Services, Addison Police Department, Bartlett Police Department, and Glendale Heights Police Department.

During this quarterly call with the Innovator Counties, teams from 20 counties were represented. The Stepping Up partner organizations shared their proudest accomplishments and their challenges from this past year and discussed what they are looking forward to in 2024. The partners facilitated discussion among the counties following a parallel structure: counties shared their accomplishments and challenges over the past year and previewed what they're looking forward to next year.

During this quarterly call with the Innovator Counties, teams from 15 counties were represented. The Stepping Up partners followed up on the "fireside chat" with a representative from the New York City Justice Peer Initiative during the last Innovator call to discuss Innovators' work with peers. The partners facilitated discussion about counties' current priorities, challenges, and successes. Common themes included challenges getting to and leveraging data and workforce challenges in behavioral health and justice systems.

In this fourth and final FY22 SCA CSCR LC session, RI International discussed the benefits of collaboration between crisis response systems and community stakeholders including law enforcement, health care providers, schools, and community-based organizations. RI International will outline strategies for building relationships and coordination with the crisis response organizations and collaborative initiatives within their communities that can meet the needs of people with behavioral health and other needs reentering from placement in a residential or correctional facility.

RI International discussed the benefits of connecting youth and adults to available crisis stabilization options (such as crisis receiving centers and crisis stabilization units) and post-crisis community support services. RI International highlighted the importance of providing connections to peer support and peer-led crisis response teams. Grantees learned how building meaningful relationships with crisis system entities that support long-term recovery planning improve outcomes for program participants and reduce contact with the criminal justice system.

RI International provided grantees with guidance and best practices for completing a scan of their crisis response system to determine what services are available for people in their jurisdiction who are reentering the community. Grantees learned the benefits of using this information to create reentry plans that connect youth and adults reentering the community to services that offer crisis stabilization.

Where an auditor's work has been reviewed in either the peer review process or a documentation review and demonstrates a misunderstanding of PREA Standards or difficulty complying with practices that are outlined in the PREA Auditor Handbook, PRC staff works with the PMO to define remediation steps to support the auditor's learning and continuing audit practice. Remediation plans include PMO-approved resources, tools, and mentoring by a peer of the auditor or PRC staff.

JIRN provided virtual TTA to 8 states. TTA sessions lasted approximately 40-60 minutes. Seven states received TTA about their DCRA implementation plans. JIRN provided them with real-time feedback and provided strategies for improving their plans that were required for receiving their JAG award.
