CJI will work with Louisiana Caddo Parish stakeholders to facilitate a local JRI engagement to understand the drivers of the current jail population and develop and implement data-driven solutions that resolve current overcrowding issues.
Urban and partners presented findings from ongoing analyses on prison payphone call volume and managed access system interceptions data at the American Society of Criminology conference in Philadelphia (November 2023).
The TTA team published a report, "The Scope, Severity, and Interdiction of Contraband Cell Phones in Correctional Facilities", on the findings from the contraband cell phones needs assessment conducted in 2021.

The Center for Court Innovation will lead a two-year national research project explicitly designed to bring together leading subject matter experts, drug court researchers, and drug court practitioners in order to strengthen the theoretical and measurement foundation of drug court research and seed a new generation of rigorous evaluation.
The purpose of this research project is to examine, compare, contrast, and report the police certification practices of POST agencies in the US. Data is to be primarily collected through a survey instrument designed by the researcher(s) which will query each state’s POST agency regarding their police certification practices, relevant local administrative rules and statutes, and their degree of participation in the NDI.
