Site has been facing issues with their data collection plans so the IACP has connected with our partner, the National Policing Institute. Meeting in early 2024 needs to be rescheduled but bringing NPI into our next check-in will aid the site with their data plan.
Center staff will coordinate with the Alabama Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) to develop and enhance drug courts statewide pursuant to their FY 2023 Adult Drug Court BJA-funded grant. This work will include teleconference calls, emails, and possible on-site visits. In Alabama, Center staff Shawn Rogers and Spencer Geiger are working with representatives of the Alabama Administrative Office of the Courts (AAOC) to meet the deliverables of their FY2023 grant.
In Washington, Center staff are working with the Washington Health Care Authority (HCA) and the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) to develop and implement a four-fold, comprehensive initiative to address racial and ethnic disparities; improve access to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD); expand state-based training capacity and opportunities; and ensure treatment courts are serving high-risk, high-need participants. This grant is being reported under different grant number.
