Plan Strengths:
The Strategic plan has specific and tangible goals. The goals include realistic and achievable deadlines. There is some data to support the need to achieve the goals outlined.

Plan Strengths:
The plan clearly outlines how strategic plans will be created however it is not a strategic plan as much as it is call to create strategic plans.

The NCJA project team reviewed the 2018 Strategic Plan submitted by the Connecticut SAA. This plan was submitted in the year prior to the new strategic planning requirement mandated by the Justice for All Reauthorization Act for 2019 applications.

Plan Strengths:
The plan has great supporting data for problem statements. The structure of their criminal justice system and their Criminal Justice Planning Division seems to be very strong and sound. They have all of the right stakeholders at the table. Clear priorities and objectives are outlined.

Develop and maintain a website that will facilitate the sharing of resources, knowledge, and practices with criminal justice system actors and the general public. The platform will be a searchable system that will contain a variety of content, including materials created during the course of the grant, and existing resources. Materials will include videos, policy and procedure guides, academic research, articles and publications, and interactive learning opportunities.

The NCJA team reviewed the 2018 Byrne JAG strategic plan submitted by the Arizona SAA.

Plan Strengths:
This plan includes a tremendous amount of relevant data and research. Goals and outcomes are very clearly outlined and defined. SMART goals are listed and are measurable. The plan includes engagement from a range of stakeholders and is clearly supported with data-based decision-making models. The SWOT analysis included great information for planning purposes.
