A conference call was conducted on January 10, 2019 with members of the VALOR Team and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS). Representing VALOR was John Bouthillette, Jennifer Schmidt, and Alyssa Wesolowski. The NYS DOCCS was represented by Darren Miller, Assistant Commissioner/Assistant Chief of Investigations, Office of Special Investigations, John Shipley, and Brian Hilton.
Assisted the Saint Louis Human Trafficking Task Force in the development and review of their principles and guidelines document. Sent to BJA with comments for review on March 3, 2020.
In October 2019, Indianapolis submitted a TTA request for an NFS assessment. IIR worked with the Indianapolis Metropolitan PD to gather pre-assessment materials and finalize a date. The assessment was scheduled to be held on March 18–19, 2020; however, the assessment was postponed because of COVID-19 travel restrictions. Toward the end of 2020 IIR began discussions with the site to conduct a virtual assessment but the site determined that it does not have the capacity for an additional assessment at this time.
