TX DPS FGG VS Genealogy TX had questions regarding costs of familial searches and genealogy, and how other sites might be doing this process. Pattie Melton met with the agency to discuss and guide them through this process and considerations. They are looking for ways to continue doing this as required, while maintaining the budget. Decker case - They did familial search 3 times Designated DNA lab person (DLO) has the decision on what type of testing is done, and has recommended searching multiple times. Only the first 30 people are on a candidate list on a familia search.

Sessions will cover topics such as Officer Safety and Wellness needs assessment, strategic planning, resource allocation, and best practices in OSW implementation. Additional topics may include resilience, injury reduction, peer support, competency of mental health professionals, physical wellness, proper nutrition, stress, mindfulness, mental wellness, suicide prevention, and more. Specific topics over the course of the 9-month learning collaborative will be identified as learning collaborative participants from invited agencies communicate needs and preferences.

PRA, in collaboration with the project partners, hosted a topical webinar on dispatch and crisis response on March 2, 2021. This 90-minute webinar was held on WebEx and featured panelists from four different jurisdictions to discuss the role of dispatch in crisis response, practices in dispatch training, and the development / implementation of integrated dispatch models. Panelists represented the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice, Albuquerque’s (NM) CIT ECHO, the Northeast Ohio Medical University, and San Francisco’s (CA) Police-Fire Dispatch Center.
