NTTAC TTAs

The St. Louis PSP site requested travel support for representatives to attend the IHIA Basic Homicide Investigators training in Newtown, Pennsylvania from September 17 - 21, 2018. The requestor withdrew the request.

The Indianapolis, Indiana Metropolitan Police Department, as part of the Indianapolis Public Safety Partnership Site, requested a crime analysis assessment. Julie Wartell was selected to fulfill the request and conducted a site visit to Indianapolis PD in October 2018. Julie Wartell delivered a final report to Indianapolis PD detailing crime analysis recommendations in December 2018.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel support for one individual to attend the Public Safety Parternship (PSP Symposium). BJA NTTAC provided travel support for one individual to travel to the event that took place September 24 - 26, 2018 in Birmingham, Alabama.

The Anniston, Alabama Police Department requested travel support for representatives to attend a Shooting Review Peer Exchange at the Savannah, Georgia Police Department. The requestor withdrew the request.

Cape Coral PD requested training and technical assistance to develop and implement an opioid program. BJA NTTAC referred this request to the Comprehensive Opioid Abuse Program TTA provider, the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR).

Killeen, Texas Police Department requested CPTED training. This request was completed delayed until Option Year 3.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) requested travel support for a select number of intelligence professionals to attend the Intelligence Analysis Community of Practice Peer Site Visit. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for 16 individuals to attend the event from September 5-6, 2018 in Washington, District of Columbia. The requestor withdrew the request.

BJA requested travel support to send three representatives to attend the 2018 IACA Training Conference in Newport Beach, California from September 17 – 21, 2018. BJA NTTAC provided support to one representative from the Killeen, Texas Police Department, and two representatives from the Bronx, New York District Attorney office to attend the conference in Newport Beach, California from September 17 – 21, 2018.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested travel support for individuals to attend the Free Speech in Higher Education Forum. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to seven individuals to attend the forum on from September 17, 2018 in Washington, D.C.

The Wichita, Kansas Police Department requested sample policies and best practices in order to develop a training program for the appropriate use of police rifles. BJA NTTAC collected and provided resources to the requestor.
