We are requesting a Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) Mapping Workshop for Craighead County. We are familiar with SIM, we had one conducted in 2016 which was at the beginning of creating a Mental Health Court, before the development of the Veteran’s Treatment Court, and before the development of CIT training locally and the CSU. We would like to utilize the SIM process to identify critical gaps in our organization(s) so those can be evaluated further by our stakeholders with contingency plans identified.

Officer Chuck Junge holds a Certification as a Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) through the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). This certification is very important in performing forensic computer responsibilities and testifying in court to processes used and information extracted when examining forensic evidence. IACIS requires renewal of this certification every three years. There are several requirements that must be completed prior to applying for CFCE recertification.

CompStat360 is a comprehensive approach using collaboration, data analysis, and intel to create more effective crime responses. IMPD is interested in developing a strategic plan to support the implementation of the CompStat360 model.
