We are requesting a Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) Mapping Workshop for Craighead County. We are familiar with SIM, we had one conducted in 2016 which was at the beginning of creating a Mental Health Court, before the development of the Veteran’s Treatment Court, and before the development of CIT training locally and the CSU. We would like to utilize the SIM process to identify critical gaps in our organization(s) so those can be evaluated further by our stakeholders with contingency plans identified.

Training for instructional staff is requested. Request on-site instructor training covering the following areas: Determination of training needs; Properly designed skills-based training solutions; How to implement evidence-based training programs.

Training for supervisors, managers, and administration is requested. Request on-site training covering the following areas: Understanding the current challenges and influences in recruiting techniques; What traits and characteristics are most sought; Best practices in Recruiting Plans and Analysis; How does culture impact retention; How is social media utilized in requiting and hiring; Current hiring legal issues; How to retain top talent.

I am requesting funding in the amount of $1,500 for airfare and lodging for the 2022 NDAA Summer Summit in Denver, Colorado from that is July 18-19. I would need to fly in on July 17 and leave July 20 and stay three nights in the hotel where the conference is being held. The link for the conference is below.

Officer Chuck Junge holds a Certification as a Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE) through the International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS). This certification is very important in performing forensic computer responsibilities and testifying in court to processes used and information extracted when examining forensic evidence. IACIS requires renewal of this certification every three years. There are several requirements that must be completed prior to applying for CFCE recertification.

We would like to offer an in-person training on desistance from crime. Our department may partner with the University of Montana to offer this training, and offer the training to both academics, local criminal justice professionals, and policy makers.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is interested in setting up a CompStat360 model within their Department. They're looking to establish this model to enhance division accountability. CompStat360 is a comprehensive approach using collaboration, data analysis, and intel to create more effective crime responses. IMPD is interested in developing a strategic plan to support the implementation of the CompStat360 model.
