Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff's Office Criminal Intelligence Division requested assistance to conduct a survey assessment of the unit to determine any deficiencies and strengths. The requestor withdrew the request.
The Chicago, Illinois Police Department requested training on leadership and officer wellness. Chicago PD was already working with VALOR to meet these needs, and the request was canceled.
The Twelfth Judicial District of Colorado requested a Prosecution System Assessment. The provider selected for this request was the Prosecutors' Center for Excellence. This request was postponed until BJA NTTAC Option Year 3.
The Milwaukee, Wisconsin Police Department (PD), as part of the Milwaukee Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested travel support for representatives to attend the 019 Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Units (LEIU) and International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) Joint Training Conference. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to two representatives from the Milwaukee PSP site to attend the conference from April 29 - May 3, 2019 in Orlando, Florida.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance requested assistance in developing a companion resource to the Violent Crime Reduction Guide (VCROG). Crime and Justice Analysts, Inc. was selected to fulfill the request. The companion guide development occurred in August 2019 and involved the Bureau of Justice Assistance. Crime and Justice Analysts, Inc. delivered a draft of the companion guide to the Bureau of Justice Assistance in August 2019.
The Birmingham, Alabama Metropolitan Police Department (PD), as part of the Birmingham Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested travel support for representatives to attend the FBI's DIVRT Training. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to two representatives from the Birmingham PSP site to attend the conference from March 19-20, 2019 in Sacramento, California.
New Orleans, Louisiana National Public Safety Partnership site requested scholarship support to attend the Naval Postgraduate School Social Network Analysis Symposium. BJA NTTAC provided scholarship support to two participants to attend this event in Monterey, California on May 6-10, 2019.
The Okaloosa, Florida Sheriff's Department requested assistance through BJA NTTAC to funding support to host the program - Tactic, Tactics, and Trust™. Polis Solutions was selected to facilitate the assistance and conducted a three day onsite visit with the agency in May 2019. Polis Solutions hosted training events t law enforcement agencies with evidence-based knowledge, tools, and practical skills to help officers improve the safety and outcomes of their public interactions.
