The Delaware State Police is seeking assistance from BJA NTTAC for training that will enhance Officer competencies in tactical de-escalation. Delaware State PD is seeking an evidence-based police training system that combines social, tactical, and decision-making skills into a unified program. The training will use scientifically validated methods to strengthen officers’ capacity to be agile, adaptable, and creative in situations where safety, communication, and trust are essential.

The Saginaw, Michigan Police Department (PD) requested travel support for representatives to attend the International Homicide Investigators Association’s “Advanced Homicide/Violent Crime Investigations Course.” BJA NTTAC provided travel support to one representative from Saginaw PD to attend the course from March 2–6, 2020 in Newtown, Pennsylvania.

The Oxford, Alabama Police Department (PD), as part of the Anniston/Oxford National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested travel support for representatives to attend the Los Angeles PD Crimefighters Conference from March 18–19, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. The event was canceled and the requestor withdrew the request.

The Las Vegas, Nevada Municipal Court requested assistance to review its current case management data and rearrest patterns related to domestic violence and driving under the influence. ​The Pretrial Justice Institute was selected to fulfill the request and conducted an offsite review of Las Vegas's data in August 2020. PJI provided a report to Las Vegas Municipal Court in August 2020 with an assessment of the data and recommendations.
