Aurora PD reached out to Joan Brody for assistance in applying for a body-worn cameras grant. During the course of this conversation, Joan recognized the potential that Aurora PD has the potential to gain access to more private and public funding. Requestor withdrew the request November 2020.
The Toledo, Ohio Police Department, as part of the Toledo Public Safety Partnership (PSP), requested subject matter experts to conduct a virtual training to deliver the curriculum about crime gun intelligence (CGI) investigations. Michael Eberhardt and Kevin Armbruster were selected to fulfill the request and conducted the training in October 2020.
The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department (KCPD), as part of the Kansas City, Missouri National Public Safety Partnership site, is requesting technical assistance developing a communication plan to support the rollout of their strategic plan. McElroy Media Group was selected to fulfill the request and provided a strategic plan for Kansas City PSP. The development of this strategic plan occurred between September 2020 and September 2021 and involved community, Kansas City Police officers, and PSP law enforcement partners.
The New York State Police Academy requested assistance in developing an implicit bias course. BJA NTTAC denied this request.
The Bethlehem Police Department (PD) requested cultural awareness and diversity training. BJA NTTAC closed this request because the requestor was unresponsive.
The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Police Department requested technical assistance in developing their current officer safety and wellness program.
The Washington County County District Attorney's Office requested technical assistance to enhance its prosecutorial wellness policies and practices and to revise adjudication policies. PCE was selected to fulfil this request and delivered a final report with recommendations in September 2021.
The Delaware State Police requested an evidence-based de-escalation that combines social, tactical, and decision-making skills into a unified program. BJA NTTAC referred the request to the Community Oriented Services COPS Office.
