The RVCRI team will develop an Assessment and Implementation Support Catalog for RVCRI grantees. The initial assessments include Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Technology, and Evidence Collection, Management, and Storage Assessments. The catalog will provide two-page flyers for each agency detailing the assessment's goals and objectives, description, participating agency requirements, RVCRI team requirements, and estimated timelines.

Two SLATT/START publications, as detailed below, were approved by BJA, and posted on the SLATT website on January 13, 2025:
• “Trends in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Their Implications for Law Enforcement” outlines the evolution of UAVs from recreational and commercial devices to tools increasingly used by malicious actors. It highlights the three most common criminal and terrorist applications of UAVs and discusses key technological advancements that will further enhance their capabilities.

The 73-page document establishes the purpose and scope of a body-worn camera (BWC) policy for Tribal Law Enforcement Agencies. Tribal law enforcement agencies confront numerous unique jurisdictional issues, resource shortages, and other public safety challenges. Given the

The criminalization of mental health issues, compounded by a lack of access to culturally appropriate interventions, has resulted in disproportionately high incarceration rates among American Indians/Alaska Natives. Addressing these issues requires a shift toward more compassionate and effective strategies, including diversion programs and alternatives to incarceration that consider cultural contexts.

Tribal communities face a disproportionate burden of SUDs and mental health concerns compared to other racial groups: American Indian/Alaska Native individuals are three times more likely to be diagnosed with SUDs and two and a half times more likely to be diagnosed with mental health conditions than their white counterparts. Yet, paradoxically, they receive treatment at a lower rate than other racial groups.

NTCRC staff have published the monthly "Beyond the Field" feature as an email communication to inform the field on topics outside of jurisprudence that are still relevant to treatment court work. Topics include pieces on trauma-informed care, the importance of social connection, court operations, and best practices. Pieces are written by NDCRC directors or guests that are experts in the field, and each piece contains references to evidence-based or peer-reviewed work.

This monograph will summarize the results of the Painting the Current Picture survey, distributed in 2023 for data on calendar year 2022.

As of 9/30/24, roughly 80% of the monograph has been drafted. We are in the process of writing up the "issues to consider" section and a section comparing the findings of this report to the PCP examining 2019 data to discuss what has changed and remained the same over time.
