Priority Area 1: Data Analysis: Analyze data from the Department of Corrections (DOC), Kentucky State Police (KSP), Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) and other state agencies (where appropriate and available) to quantify the number of people involved in Kentucky's criminal justice system for DV- and IPV-related offenses, with the goal of identifying the full scale and impact of these offenses on the state's criminal justice system and the potential for reducing prison and jail populations and improving interventions.

July 25: Meeting with Troy Hagedorn (Jailer, Grant County Detention Center) and Jackie Bodenhamer (Chief Deputy, Grant County Detention Center) to hear about the facility and the successes and challenges they face. (2 people representing 1 agency)
July 24: Focus group with Irvin Mann (Chief of Security, Marion County Detention Center); Tina Huntsberger (Classification and PREA Administrator, Marion County Detention Center); Trena Lee (Health Service Administrator, Marion County Detention Center); Lorelei Raikes (SAP Program Director, Marion County Detention Center); and David Chappel (SOAR Program Director, Marion County Detention Center) to learn more about the operations of the facilities and the challenges they face providing programming. July 24: Focus group with Marion County Detention Center programming staff, with anonymity, to learn about how programming is administered in the facility from the individuals facilitating the programs on a day-to-day basis. (9 people representing 1 agency)
July 24: Focus group with Marion County Detention Center correctional officers, with anonymity, to learn about the security of the facility, any challenges the officers face, and how they interact with programming staff. (5 people representing 1 agency)
July 24: Anonymous focus group with individuals incarcerated at Marion County Detention Center to learn about their experience at the facility and their thoughts on the programming provided. (4 people representing 1 agency)
