The PREA Management Office (PMO) and the National PREA Resource Center (PRC) hosted a four hour convening event on Saturday, January 6, 2024, for PREA stakeholders as part of the American Correctional Association (ACA) winter conference in National Harbor, MD. The convening featured updates from leaders of the PMO and the PRC, as well as timely and relevant topics for juvenile justice and correctional facilities, agencies, PREA auditors, advocates, and other stakeholders interested in discussing PREA implementation and its challenges.

Deep Dive Saturday was a training event held in conjunction with the American Jail Association (AJA) 43rd Conference and Jail Expo held on May 18-22, 2024 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. AJA's Conference and Jail Expo brings together more than 2,200 jail practitioners from across the country to train, network and meet on issues facing the Nation's jails.

The IACP CTI team, along with project partners the Educational Development Center (EDC) will host the CTI Roundtable, a lunch and facilitated discussion during the IACP 2022 Annual Conference in Dallas, TX. The goal is to introduce the Community Trust Initiative and to explore how police leaders define and approach community trust in order to identify best practices, challenges, and opportunities for growth around community trust.

The IACP CTI team, along with project partners the Educational Development Center (EDC) will host a breakfast and facilitated discussion at the IACP 2023 Annual Conference in San Diego, California. The discussion will be facilitated by project partners, the Education Development Center (EDC), with the discussion building off the previous year’s roundtable. Topics to be covered may include sustainability of community-police relationships, the effects of current events across the nation, officer and leadership buy-in, training and education methods, and more.
