The United States Attorney's Office, Western District of Louisiana requested law enforcement training. The requestor was unresponsive.
The Baltimore, Maryland Police Department, as part of the Baltimore National Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested training on the topic of crime reduction. Dr. Jerry Ratcliffe with Reducing Crime LLC was selected to fulfill the request and provided the “Commander's Crime Reduction Course” to 32 members of the Baltimore PSP site on March 11–13, 2020 in Baltimore, Maryland.
The Anniston, Alabama Police Department (PD), as part of the Anniston Public Safety Partnership (PSP) sites, requested travel support for representatives to attend the FBI's DIVRT Training. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to two representatives from the Anniston PSP site to attend the conference from April 7 – 9, 2020 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. BJA NTTAC denied this request.
The Anniston, Alabama Police Department (APD), as part of the Anniston Public Safety Partnership (PSP) site, requested travel support for representatives to attend the FBI DIVRT Training. BJA NTTAC provided travel support to one representatives from the Anniston PSP site to attend the conference from January 14-16, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
BJA is requested travel support for two members from the Saginaw, Michigan Police Department and the Houston, Texas Police Department site to attend the IHIA Cold Case/ No Body Homicide Investigation Course in Quantico, Virginia on March 23 - 26, 2020. The requestor withdrew the request.
The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) requested subject matter experts to develop a curriculum about crime gun intelligence (CGI) investigations. Michael Eberhardt and Kevin Armbruster were selected to fulfill the request and delivered the CGI curriculum to BJA in March 2019.
The Newark, New Jersey Police Division requested assistance through BJA NTTAC to measure and analyze both crime and our community policing strategies. AH Analytics was selected to facilitate the assistance and conducted a two-day onsite visit with the agency in March 2020. Ben Horwitz developed a report with recommendations specific to training, technology, products/functionality, and staffing to optimize existing crime analysis capacity.
The Orlando, Florida Police Department requested a peer exchange site visit with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg, North Carolina Police Department to observe their real-time crime center. BJA NTTAC provided travel support for five representatives from Orlando PD to attend the site visit from October 3-4, 2019 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The Carlsbad, New Mexico Police Department requested training on the topic of human trafficking. This request was referred to the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
