We are in the process of developing an implicit bias course, and would like to build more courses focused on procedural justice, communication, de-escalation , community policing and other modern policing strategies and techniques. I am also attempting to build training to improve officer safety, mental health, and leadership at all levels of the police community.

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) requested subject matter experts to conduct a virtual training pilot to deliver the curriculum about crime gun intelligence (CGI) investigations. Michael Eberhardt and Kevin Armbruster were selected to fulfill the request and conducted the training in July 2020.

The Anniston, Alabama Police Department, as part of the Anniston/Oxford National Public Safety Partnership site, requested travel support for one representative to attend the International Homicide Investigators Association’s “Basic Homicide Investigators Course” from March 16–20, 2020 in Sacramento, California. The event was canceled and the requestor withdrew the request.
