Jan. 22: Meeting with Ben Gilmore (Arkansas State Senator and Task Force Chair), Jimmy Gazaway (Arkansas State Representative and Task Force Member), Tawnie Rowell (Executive Director of the Arkansas Sentencing Commission and facilitator of the Task Force), and Dr. Tabrina Bratton (Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation Administrator for the Department of Corrections) to provide updates on the status the project’s data requests and receive direction on reaching out to the Department of Corrections given the current climate. (4 people representing 5 agencies)
Jan. 22: Meeting with Jamie Barker (Deputy Chief of Staff for the Governor) to introduce the project and discuss issues with receiving data from the Arkansas Crime Information Center. (1 person representing 1 agency)
"Priority Area 1:Â Work with state agencies to receive and analyze data to identify drivers of Arkansasâs high recidivism rates and understand how recidivism contributes to overall crime and incarceration rates. Update: In April, CSG Justice Center staff received data from the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC). The Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC) data was received in the prior month. CSG Justice Center staff received word from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (DOC) that the full data request is expected to be delivered by mid-May.

Update: In March, CSG Justice Center staff continued to follow up with representatives from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC), the Arkansas Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), and the Arkansas Crime Information Center (ACIC).

Update: In February, CSG Justice Center staff received word from our internal IT team that the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) data representative requested access to our server to provide data. Staff worked with IT to set up the account but have not received any data.

Update: During the middle of January, CSG Justice Center staff received the first signed data use agreement (DUA) from the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC) and provided the technical means for ADC staff to begin uploading data to CSG Justice Center servers.
CSG Justice Center staff met with Dr. Tabrina Bratton (Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation Administrator for the Department of Corrections) and Lindsay Wallace (Chief of Staff to Secretary Profiri) to learn more about the program assessments the department has performed and discuss how we can assist in their program development. CSG Justice Center staff met with Ryan Cooper (Deputy Attorney General, Special Prosecutions Division and Designee for Task Force) to discuss his priorities for the task force, his perspective on the greatest issues facing Arkansasâs criminal justice system and gain his insights with regards to strategy. (1 person representing 2 agencies)
CSG Justice Center staff met with Kim Sharp (Executive Assistant at Exodus.life and Task Force Member) to discuss the work of the task force and her experience as a formerly incarcerated individual. (1 person representing 2 agencies)
