The CSG Justice Center had an initial call with Department of Health Services on November 6, 2023 and another call with . Senator Sims on November 11, 2023.
The CSG Justice Center has continued conversations with Florida Department of Corrections and the Palm Beach County Reentry Council to provide connections to other state agencies and reentry councils across the state. We have had engagement on July 25, 2023; August 24, 2023, and November 11, 2023.
CSG Justice Center had a follow-up call with CPOC on October 30, 2023
The CSG Justice Center had a call with DOC leadership on September 22, 2023 and we followed up with information on next steps and provided a connection to the Department of Health Services and the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.
The CSG Justice Center had a meeting with New York Division of Criminal Justice Services on July 12, 2023 and December 11, 2023 to narrow down the goals and targets and baseline measures to use.
The CSG Justice Center had a meeting with Michigan on August 1, 2023, and provided additional materials on Reentry 2030. Another call was held on August 29, 2023 to learn more about the current work in Michigan.
The CSG Justice Center met with Iowa Department Corrections to explore their interest in being an intensive technical assistance state. DOC interested in having an in-person meeting to discuss Reentry 2030 with state partners. CSG Justice Center is also coordinating internally to put together a housing meeting with Iowa in October.
The Council of State Governments (CSG) Justice Center and the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) will host part two of the fieldwide webinar series on the risk-need-responsivity (RNR) model. Building on the first session, which covered the 18 components of the expanded model, session two will focus on RNR with individuals who have behavioral health needs and how responsivity principles can help address those needs as well as criminogenic needs.
Grantees will receive training and practical information and provide best practices on responses to substance use disorders and overdose prevention that prioritize prevention, treatment, recovery, and harm reduction.
