Planning has begun to host a national convening of experts from an array of legal system stakeholders, academics, community organizations, and national legal non-profit organizations to discuss the future of juries and jury trials in the US. Using the “Just Horizons” model, the group will examine how future political, technological, and social changes may impact our jury system. Up to 40 individuals are expected to attend the day and a half long convening. The event is scheduled for February 22 and 23 in Washington, DC.

The CSG Justice Center had an initial call with Maryland on December 15, 2023 to discuss Reentry 2030 collaboration.

The CSG Justice Center held an initial call with Commissioner Strada and Commissioner Williams about Reentry 2030. They asked for some additional information about TN's recidivism rate, number of returnees, and examples of our work in other states with similar initiatives. CSG Justice Center staff put together a packet of information addressing these inquiries.

The CSG Justice Center had an initial meeting with Reentry Director Kelly Heifort about joining Reentry 2030.
