The NRTAC staff hosted a virtual meeting over Zoom to deliver the CGIC recommendations to the Vanderburgh County, Indiana, CGIC. Upon delivery of the recommendations, the Vanderburgh County CGIC team was prepared to discuss implementation plans for each recommendation.

The NRTAC team provided two onsite training sessions—one on firearms identification and one on interviewing suspects in a crime gun investigation—for investigators from law enforcement agencies throughout Connecticut. Subject matter experts Mark Kraft and Joshua May delivered the content. The training informed attendees how to identify a firearm for accurate trace results and how crime gun intelligence can be leveraged to effectively interview suspects in a crime gun investigation.

On October 20, 2024, a SLATT team member provided a SLATT Program Overview at the State and Local Criminal Intelligence Briefing hosted by BJA, on behalf of the Criminal Intelligence Coordination Council (CICC) and Global Justice Information Sharing Initiative, in Boston, Massachusetts. Approximately 52 CICC members attended the event.

On October 17–19, 2024, a member of the SLATT team attended the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies (ASCIA) Fall Conference, hosted in Boston, Massachusetts. Approximately 200 ASCIA members attended the event and were provided with SLATT Program information, including half cards and a QR code that linked to the SLATT website and SLATT resources. In addition, on October 19–22, 2024, members of the SLATT team attended the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference, also hosted in Boston, Massachusetts.

On October 9, 2024, members of the SLATT team and two SMEs delivered an in-person training presentation titled, “Terrorism, Targeted Violence and Hate Crimes: Current Threats, and their Connection to Suspicious Activity Reporting.” The two-hour presentation consisted of lessons from the PROTECT course curriculum and was hosted by the Amtrak Police Department as a component of their Field Intelligence Officer Conference, in Wilmington, Delaware.

On October 2, 2024, members of the State and Local Anti-Terrorism Training (SLATT) Program team, two SLATT subject-matter experts (SMEs), and local representatives from the Ohio Statewide Terrorism Analysis and Crime Center fusion center and the Ohio Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutors, delivered an in-person training course titled, “SLATT Sovereign Citizen Awareness: An Overview for Law Enforcement.” The eight-hour presentation consisted of lessons from the “Prevent and Respond: Officer Training to Effectively Counter Terrorism” (PROTECT) course curriculum and was hosted by the Ontario Pol
