Between January and June 2024 we facilitated 8 peer connections and 2 consultations: On January 1, 2024 the FY21 JMHCP County of Onondaga, NY, grant team was connected to the Denver, CO, Police Department's Law Enforcement-Mental Health Learning Site, which discussed its Denver STAR program as the grantee was interested in including a non-law enforcement response in their program. Specifically, Denver STAR provided guidance on identifying appropriate calls for service to divert to a civilian response and how they worked through issues within the 911 center.

he 15 LE-MH Learning Sites supported jurisdictions by responding to TA requests; hosting in-person site visits; conducting external trainings and presentations as part of conferences and/or webinars; and conducting virtual meetings with jurisdictions looking for guidance on their PMHCs.

One analyst from Miami attended the annual conference, the most impactful training event of the year for analysts from around the world. Attendees ranged from students to seasoned industry professionals, all with the goal of learning new techniques, strengthening their knowledge, and equipping their department for ongoing success. Among the courses offered were Crime and Intelligence Analysis; Real-World Case Studies; Investigative and Analytical Techniques; Statistical Analysis; Hands-On Computer Training; and ESRI’s ArcPro.
