Over the month of December, CSG Justice Center staff provided office-based technical assistance to Second Chance Act grantees and responded to inquiries from the field. Staff conducted approximately 45 phone calls and 8 emails.

In 2016, the federal Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention funded the Council of State Governments Justice Center, and its partners, to provide technical assistance to states seeking to revamp the "front end" of their juvenile justice systems to improve outcomes for youth and to reduce racial and ethnic disparities.
