This training was delivered at the COSSAP National Forum on March 11. The purpose of this workshop was to present the fundamentals of case management with an emphasis on creating additional support for individuals with an opioid use disorder referred from first responders. This workshop covered the critical role case management can plays in diversion by linking people from first responders to treatment and recovery by bridging the communication gap between the criminal justice and behavioral health systems.

This training workshop was delivered at the 2020 COSSAP National Forum on March 11th. In this workshop, panelists illustrated the importance of creating a multi-level community response to children impacted by addiction. Presenters discussed efforts in their jurisdictions to intervene with children at-risk for neglect or abuse due to opioid use in their homes as well as address the needs of these children through trauma-informed care. Participants in this training will recognize the diverse needs of children of addicted parents.

The Psychology of COVID-19 article was written to increase knowledge of the psychological impacts of the pandemic and how those in corrections may mitigate them. This article was published in the May-June 2020 issue of Corrections Today which was posted online with free access.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2020 from 2:00 to 3:30 PM EST, the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), in collaboration with John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Palm Beach County Human Trafficking Task Force, and North Dakota Human Trafficking Task Force, hosted a webinar for Enhanced Collaborative Model (ECM) human trafficking task forces on multidisciplinary information-sharing in anti-human trafficking task forces.

The "COVID-19: Managing the Stress of Uncertainty by Taking Care of You" webinar will help policy makers and all disciplines of correctional staff provide training and technical assistance on effective management of employees and subsequent related stressors that can be caused by pandemic-type occurrences. This live webinar will also be made available on demand on the American Correctional Association's resource center to the public and individuals who were not able to access the live event.

Elohim Urban Mission requested information on faith-based reentry resources. BJA NTTAC provided the requestor with a list of providers that offer reentry guidance and resources from faith-based organizations. The team also referred the requestor to the National Reentry Resource Center.
