CSG Justice Center staff facilitated a focus group session with representatives from national law enforcement organizations including the National Policing Institute, Major Cities Chiefs Association, International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training, and International Association of Chiefs of Police to learn more about the needs of the law enforcement agencies they work with around the country regarding traumatic brain injury.

This session of the Data and Evaluation Community of Practice introduced participants to the basic components of program evaluation, including what an evaluation is, why you need one, and what key components are necessary to design a successful program evaluation. This session also introduced the use of a logic model as a guide to evaluation development.

CSG Justice Center staff were invited to kick off the Words to Deeds track at the 48th Annual FMHAC conference as part of a panel presentation. Interim Director, Hallie Fader-Towe, set the stage with a presentation called "988: A Shared Opportunity for Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health Partners," where she highlighted BJA's work to build awareness of 988 among criminal justice practitioners and provided a national view on 988, comprehensive crisis systems, and opportunities for partnering with criminal justice stakeholders.

First of six planned bi-monthly virtual meetings to be held in 2023. The bi-monthly meetings are a new addition are meant to keep members and observers updated on GAC/GESC projects in between regularly scheduled in-person meetings.

CSG Justice Center staff facilitated a focus group session with staff from the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators as part of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) project under the Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program award. The focus group covered best practices for screening for TBI for people in the justice system and interventions for addressing TBI among this population.
