The drop in call covered a few topics (988 call systems, suicidal officers, formalizing supportive services provided after a critical incident) besides the Knowledge Lab Convening that just happened. Staff from the CSG Justice Center went over the reimbursement process and got feedback from the attendees about the programming. Most of this was positive as people enjoyed the topics that were discussed and getting to gather in person for these conversations. The sites that were on the drop in call provided the updates on their programming below.

On 6/21, CSG Justice Center staff convened a small focus group of representatives from national law enforcement organizations (IACP, NPI, IACLEA, and MCCA) to understand the TTA needs of their membership as they relate to 988 and behavioral health responses.Â

On 6/13, CSG Justice Center staff met with Sheriff Chris Hilton from Sandusky County Ohio, representing the National Sheriff's Association for a brief semi-structured interview to understand the outstanding questions and TTA needs of sheriffs as they relate to 988 and behavioral health responses.

The drop in call covered a few topics but was mostly spent discussing the upcoming Knowledge Lab Convening. Staff from the CSG Justice Center went over the agenda, reimbursement process, and other details prior to the conference. The sites that were in attendance provided the updates on their programming below. Houston had a number of city funded projects (ARPA) so they are going through their first desk review. It has been a bit of a headache for them and it has been slow going. Denver had 50 clinicians with all the law enforcement agencies in the area.

CSG Justice Center staff facilitated a focus group session with a representative from Harris County Sheriffs Department to learn more about law enforcement's response to people with a traumatic brain injury.

The drop in call was held as usual in April, providing space for learning sites to speak with one another, raise issues they are facing, and give CSG updates on what they are doing. Below are the updates from the sites present on the April call. Miami-Dade (MDPD) put officers through training for a crisis response unit, over 100 hours of training. Their graduation is May 1st so they will be out on the road soon.

Chelsea Thomson, representing University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, participated in a 30-minute call to review key functionality features and test user experience of the first draft of the tool. Her feedback informed edits to the tool to improve ease of use for people of all levels of tech-savviness.
