THE COUNCIL OF STATE GOVERNMENTS

Founded in 1933, The Council of State Governments (CSG) is the nation’s only organization serving all three branches of state government. CSG is a region-based forum that fosters the exchange of insights and ideas to help state officials shape public policy. This offers unparalleled international, national, and regional opportunities to network, develop leaders, collaborate, and create problem-solving partnerships. CSG's national headquarters is in Lexington, Kentucky.

The Crime and Justice Institute (CJI) bridges the gap between research and practice with data-driven solutions that drive bold, transformative improvements in criminal and juvenile justice systems. CJI works with local, state, tribal, and national criminal justice organizations, providing nonpartisan policy analysis, implementation consulting, capacity building assistance, and research services to advance evidence-based practices and create systems-level change.

The Center for Effective Public Policy (CEPP) is a nonprofit organization first incorporated in Pennsylvania in 1981 with its main office in Kensington, MD, and satellite offices in San Francisco, CA; Melbourne Beach, FL; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Minneapolis, MN; Newark, NJ; Lebanon, PA; Columbia, SC; and Edgerton, WI.

The Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, Inc. (APA) is incorporated in the commonwealth of Virginia and headquartered in Washington, D.C. The association is a nonprofit charitable organization that is supported by member contributions as well as government grants and funding from both foundations and the private sector. Prosecutors direct the organization through a volunteer board of directors led by the Chair of the Board, Jackson County, Missouri Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker and Vice Chairman, Multnomah County, Oregon District Attorney Rod Underhill.

The National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA) works to promote a balanced approach to communities’ complex public safety, criminal, and juvenile justice system problems. The NCJA offers a number of different opportunities to enhance the professional development of state and local criminal and juvenile justice decisionmakers and policymakers through both educational training and events. NCJA also promotes a variety of events and conferences, all designed to increase networking opportunities and to foster the exchange of valuable knowledge and skills.

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) is the world’s largest and most influential professional association for police leaders. With more than 30,000 members in over 160 countries, the IACP is a recognized leader in global policing, committed to advancing safer communities through thoughtful, progressive police leadership. Since 1893, the association has been serving communities worldwide by speaking out on behalf of law enforcement and advancing leadership and professionalism in policing worldwide.

The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) is a Florida-based nonprofit corporation specializing in criminal justice (with a law enforcement focus) and homeland security issues. IIR has a proven history of promoting greater efficiency and effectiveness among federal, state, local, and tribal criminal justice agencies through customized services. IIR is a highly experienced team of professionals equipped with the knowledge and ability to respond to the needs of justice agencies.
