The Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) will offer an overview of the Bureau of Justice Assistance Student, Teachers, and Officers Preventing (STOP) School Violence Specialized Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program for law enforcement who work in K–12 schools and/or with school-aged populations. This federally funded program is designed to support the development and implementation of specialized training and other resources for law enforcement, school security, and community supervision professionals who work with students.

The National Center for School Safety provides one-on-one technical assistance to STOP grantees. This Intensive TA has been offered since January 2021, and is provided to select agencies requiring more assistance. Wisconsin Dept Of Public Instruction was one of these agencies. TA Specialists have been in contact with Wisconsin Dept Of Public Instruction since 10/26/2022, with their intake meeting occurring on 11/21/2022. There have been 3 additional follow-up meetings. All 3 of these follow-up meetings occurred within the current reporting period.

TA Specialists have been in contact with Western Montana Professional Learning Collaborative since 10/31/2022, with their intake meeting occurring on 2/21/2023. There have been 4 additional follow-up meetings. All 4 of these follow-up meetings occurred within the current reporting period.
