Objective 6: Provide intensive TA to 10 states, supporting the adoption and use of the Justice Counts metrics to drive decision-making.
Presentation at the Washington Administrative Office of the Courts Pre-Trial Summit 2024 alongside Justice Counts champion Leah Landon, (Criminal Justice Regional Program Manager for the Thurston County Board of County Commissioners) who presented snapshots of Thurston County data to introduce the project to other courts in Washington. (50 people representing 50 agencies).

Objective 3: Promote Justice Counts with the goal of increasing participation and support.
Presentation to the CSG Justice Center's Advisory Board on Justice Counts. (21 people representing 16 agencies and 5 legislative bodies)

Objective 5: Place data analysts in residence at State DOCs to increase the utility of data for decision-making while also building the corrections analyst workforce.

Advancing Data in Corrections Summer Conference (August 16th-17th, 2024) - Conference hosted by CSG Justice Center staff in Nashville, TN for corrections professionals and individuals in similar data-focused positions. The conference had participants from 45 states.

7/31: In-person meeting with Rene Hinojosa (Director, TDCJ), Monica de Velasco (Deputy Division Director, TDCJ), Amanda Lowe (Deputy Division Director, TDCJ), Joe Ballez (Parole Division Region IV Director, TDC), Linde Hoffman (State Engagement Manager, Recidiviz) Santy Mendoza (Implementation Engineer, Recidiviz), and Brenda Li (Implementation Engineer Recidiviz) to discuss site visit findings and discuss IT-related updates to the tool. (7 participants, representing 2 agencies)

7/31: CSG Justice Center staff and Recidiviz staff met with parole officers at Austin II Parole Office.
o In person conversation with two parole officers and Linde Hoffman (State Engagement Manager, Recidiviz) to discuss reporting processes and process for tracking and inputting contacts. (3 participants, representing 2 agencies)
o In-person conversation with one parole officer to learn about their experience working under current TDCJ policies surrounding contact standards and the new pilot program in the Austin office. (1 participant, representing 1 agency)
