During the MSU Conference, an in-person meeting was held. The grantee discussed needing to change their research partner. NCDPS will work with a researcher from UNC and GMU will be the sub awardee.? TA discussed updating the MOU, writing a GAN request and possibly updating their P&I Guide.
GMU is planning to meet with the researcher at UNC to discuss the grant program and design. NC DPS is still looking to hire a POC for the grant. TA discussed reviewing their GAN request prior to submitting to BJA and suggested to have the MOU completed at the same time.

During the MSU Conference, an in-person meeting was held. Grantee explained that MOUs are not finalized and will not be finalized until mid-September. They are currently waiting on their community partners to review and sign it and then the county board will review it before signing. The county board will be on recess until mid-September.?
TA discussed options for moving forward with the grant such as preparing for implementation and clarifying for the roles for the community partners

During the MSU conference, an in person meeting was held to discuss any concerns or questions pertaining to the grant. TA provided answers on the purpose of monthly TA calls and a broader perspective on the function of a TA provider.
Grant discussed challenges with researcher. TA provided suggestions on how to build a relationship with the research partner and setting the tone at an early stage.? Arizona is excited about the grant and eager to move forward with implementation.

CSG Justice Center TA staff conducted a two-day?site visit with the CDCR FY16 SCA COD grantee team on July 12th and July 13th, 2018. TA staff visited progam sites in northern California including CDCR headquarters and a community-based behavioral health treatment provider?in Sacramento, a parole field office in San Francisco, and also toured San Quentin prison.The TA staff and grantee team engaged in discussions focused on Corrections and Community Collaboration, Data Collection and Evaluation, Community Partnerships, Program Champions, and Sustainability.?

During this webinar, recipients of 2018 SCA Adult Reentry and Employment Strategic Planning grants will receive information on the requirements and deliverables of the program. Specifically, grantees will learn how they will develop a strategic plan that is comprehensive, collaborative, and multisystemic in its approach to increase economic mobility and reduce recidivism for people returning to the community from incarceration.

During this webinar, grantee recipients of the FY18 SCA Innovations in Reentry (IRI) program received information about the grant program, including steps for starting their program, submitting the Planning and Implementation (P&I) Guide, and fulfilling Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) expectations. A technical assistance provider from the National Reentry Resource Center as well as a representative from BJA answered questions and discussed the resources that are available to grantees.
