The grantee has a new financial point of contact. The FPOC is looking for guidance on a financial GAM that will remove the previous FPOC and start charging the grant time and salary to oversee the administration of the grant. Rulo advised the grantee of the financial GAM process and offered review and edits to a GAM if necessary.

Q4 check in call with subgrantees

On 10/10/24 emailed a tool to Judge Fiore that he could use to begin developing SMART objectives and provided a recap of our meeting with next steps.

On 10/10/24 held a meeting with Judge Fiore and we began to develop program goals. I went over SMART objectives with him and told him I'd email a tool he could use to begin developing objectives. We also discussed looking for evaluators and let him know I would reach out to my contacts at George Mason and American Universities.

On 10/4/24 I followed up to our 9/23 meeting with slides I developed that defined and provided information about good goals and SMART objectives. I also sent a worksheet to use to develop SMART objectives.

Met with Judge Fiore on 9/23. He is looking for evaluation support related to a program he created called the Mental Health Action Process (MHAP) He did a preliminary analysis of the program and mentioned he is following up with a statistician who will review data/suggest other data points and do another analysis. I suggested developing some goals/objectives for the program and a logic model to determine what, if any, other outcomes he may want to look at which would also determine the type of evaluation he may want to pursue

On 10/2/24 met with the Reentry Coordinator, Ashley Tronzo. We discussed the program Bridging the Gap and I let her know about my recommendations for developing goals and SMART objectives prior to looking for an evaluator. She agreed and we set up another meeting to begin developing goals.

Met with grantee on 9/19. The grantee was referred by Rulo to discuss the right the right time to bring in an evaluator or the pros of having an evaluator. After speaking with the grantee, I recommmended as a first step it would be helpful to understand what the grantee wanted to get out of an evaluation, or program goals, and this would help inform the type of evaluation and the types of things they should look for in an evaluator.

A meeting was held with the grantees, the RTI representative, and a CJI staff member to discuss evaluation needs in detail. During the session, technical assistance services offered were reviewed, and a deeper understanding of the program's scope and current requirements was gained. As the team works to identify and onboard an evaluator, support was offered in the form of insight and guidance throughout the selection process, should it be needed. While no immediate support is required at this time, we are available for future needs once the evaluator is in place was emphasized.
