The TTA team and a subject matter expert is assisting Lafayette (LA) Police Department in crime analysis in efforts to proactively address and prevent violent crime. This TTA includes assisting the department in starting a crime analysis unit.

The Seattle City Auditor requested TTA from PERF specific to Roadmap step #2 – Identifying the key people and places driving the violence. Specifically, the Seattle City Council was trying to understand common patterns relative to the people and places driving gun violence. Seattle was also interested in learning what models were used in other jurisdictions to educate community leaders about the violence in their communities.

PERF received a number of TTA requests from agencies in and around the DMV. This regional training seminar was an opportunity for local agencies to discuss cross-jurisdictional violent crime challenges and strategies and for PERF, and subject matter experts, to provide training on innovative strategies and educate folks about the free resources available through this project.
