The training requested specifically targets the legal aspects and practical application of identifying armed individuals. The training would be beneficial in tackling the rise in gun and violent crimes in the city of Louisville.
The Justice Center requested assistance in assuring that its policies, procedures, staffing and training are in line with best practices for serving its population while ensuring due process and justice for all involved. This request was referred to the Office of Justice Programs, Office for Victims of Crime.
The South Dakota Sheriff's Association requested technical assistance in developing a jail information sharing system. The request denied by BJA and not fulfilled by BJA NTTAC.
The Sandy City, Utah Police Department (PD) requested a multi-day, hands on training of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). The Virginia Center for Policing Innovation (VCPI) was selected to fulfill the request and provided CPTED training to the Sandy City PD and other Sandy City personnel on June 28 - 29, 2017 in Sandy City, Utah.

The Middlesex Sheriff's Office requested funding for speaker support for a conference on issues facing people of color in the criminal justice field. BJA NTTAC was not able to fulfill the request and closed the request on November 15, 2016.
The Greensboro, North Carolina Police Department requested the three-day Inclusive Leadership training. Blue Courage Inc. was selected as the provider and delivered the training to 28 Greensboro PD personnel on April 4-6, 2017 in Greensboro, NC.
The Kansas City, Missouri Police Department (PD) requested two Blue Courage: The Heart and Mind of the Guardian trainings and one Blue Courage Academy. Blue Courage, Inc. was selected to fulfill the request and provided the two two-day trainings on April 12 - 13, 2017 and May 4 - 5, 2017, to 62 law enforcement personnel, and the four-day academy on June 6 - 9, 2017 to 20 law enforcement personnel in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Kansas City Missouri Police Departments Regional Training Academy had the opportunity to bring in the Blue Courage course for a select few of our members. All who attended found great value in the course and the messages that are given. Due to current fiscal constraints, we are not able to fund this training on a recurring basis during the current or coming fiscal year.
