NAICJA staff and consultants presented and attended the “Veterans’ Outreach and Legal Assistance Roundtable Outcomes” and “Bridging the Gap between Native Veterans Residing in Rural “Legal Deserts” and Legal Service Providers in Other Locations,” at the Enhancement HTWC training on September 12-13, 2023, in Palm Springs, CA.

The IACP worked with BJA to coordinate and host a workshop at the IACP Annual Conference. Presenters discussed considerations and experience related to CVI-police collaboration

The IACP worked with BJA to coordinate and host a rountable discussion at the IACP Annual Conference. During the session, law enforcement leaders discussed collaboration with community violence intervention programs.

IACP provided a presentation, and facilitated a group discussion on reducing youth violence through CVI programming.

IACP provided a presentation, and facilitated a group discussion on wellness programming and practices for front-line CVI public safety professionals.

The IACP collaborated with the BCJI Milwaukee site to give a presentation on The Role of Data in Violence Prevention Through Public Health and Safety - Multidisciplinary Teams.

The IACP facilitated a discussion about local, state, and federal funding opportunities for sites to sustain their efforts.

The IACP facilitated updates from grantee sites graduating at the end of the month, as well as from ongoing projects.

IACP worked with the site to develop a BCJI Bulletin Site Highlight on the site's approach to relationship building.

The site informed IACP they are trying to assess the physical environment of the focus area. IACP linked them to validated CPTED assessment tools
