7/6: Video call with Nikki Miguel (Communications Specialist, CJI), Abigail Strait (Senior Policy Specialist, CJI), Ashley Neufeld (Design & Digital Media Specialist, CJI), Maureen Flanagan (Policy Specialist, CJI), Clarissa Dias (Senior Policy Specialist, CJI), Valerie Meade (Director, CJI), Ben Shelor (Senior Policy Advisor, BJA), and Jeffrey Locke (Senior Policy Advisor, BJA) to discuss the continued update of Category 1 documents, as well as the progress of the Category 2 briefs and the website dissemination strategy. Â

9/25: Call with Dr. Nicole Swiderski (Research Scientist, NJSPB) to update CSG Justice Center team on OIT progress and propose an on-site meeting to accelerate the project. 9/27: Call with Dr. Nicole Swiderski (Research Scientist, NJSPB) to debrief about NJSPB agency meeting and discuss IT limitations, case management system updates, and staff changes. 11/9/23: Video call with Paul Martin (Support Services Administrator, WYDOC) todiscuss the pitch for the project and receive the go-ahead to discuss the project with awider range of DOC leaders and staff.

7/10: Video call with Carli Stark (Director and Legislative Liaison, Minnesota Association of Community Corrections Act Counties (MACCAC), to have an introductory call with staff (1 person, 1 agency)Â

12/13/2023: Interview with Heather Meredith (Probation and Parole Supervisor, Bowling Green Probation and Parole Office) to discuss trends they are seeing in domestic violence. (1 person representing 1 agency). Â

12/15/2023: Meeting with Erica Hargis (Director, Probation and Parole, DOC), Kirk Gausepohl (Assistant Director, Probation and Parole, DOC) to discuss key takeaways from meetings with probation offices so far. (2 people representing 1 agency).Â

12/15/2023: CSG Justice Center staff attended the Interim Joint Judiciary Committee meeting made up of 26 Senators and Representatives to listen to presentation on the Safer Kentucky Act (26 people, representing 2 agencies).Â

12/13/2023: Meeting with Cassie Chambers Armstrong (State Senator (D) District 19) and Jennifer Tuvlin (Director, Development Department, School of Law, University of Louisville) to introduce Kentucky’s JRI project and learn more about the Senator’s research on legal outcomes of domestic violence survivors in rural vs urban settings. (2 people representing 1 agency).Â

12/13/2023: Focus group with 14 probation and parole officers in the Bowling Green office to better understand the trends they are seeing among their clients. (14 people representing 1 agency).Â

11/14/23: Focus group with Kevin Casey (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Lauren Jordan (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Brittany Brown (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Jessical Veil (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Lauren Morgan (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Brandon Summers (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer), Laiden Hutcheson (Probation and Parole District 9, Officer) in Lexington, KY to discuss how IPV and DV impact their work. Â
