2020 Officer Safety and Wellness Symposium

Improving officer safety and wellness enhances the health and effectiveness of officers, as well as the safety of the community. The International Association of Chiefs of Police’s (IACP) 2020 Officer Safety and Wellness (OSW) Symposium is for law enforcement professionals to learn from experts in the field about resources and best practices when developing comprehensive officer safety and wellness strategies.

VALOR Training – Survive & Thrive: Protecting You and Your Fellow Officers (Sept 2019, Texas)

This VALOR Officer Safety and Wellness Program training, offered as a one- or two-day course, provides officers at the all levels with exactly that – the essentials to survive and thrive – by stressing the importance of being physically and mentally prepared, maintaining situational awareness, combating complacency, and remaining vigilant.

Off the Cuff: Officer Safety and Wellness Talks (Oct 2019)

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) VALOR Initiative is hosting the “Off the Cuff: Officer Safety and Wellness Talks” event on October 15, 2019 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Over the course of four hours, five law enforcement officers will share their compelling personal stories and insights on:

  • Post traumatic-incident stress management;
  • Creating a path to financial freedom;
  • Recommitting to your physical health; and
  • Shot in the line of duty: returning to work.

International Association of Chiefs of Police 2019 Annual Conference and Exposition

The International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition is the largest and most important law enforcement event of the year — more than 16,000 public safety professionals come to learn new techniques, advance their knowledge and careers, and equip their department for ongoing success. The three tenets of the conference are training, networking, and exhibit hall education. IACP 2019 spans four days of education and networking.
