Efforts to improve evidence-based policing have primarily focused on larger, suburban and urban agencies. In this demonstration, we seek to proactively interact with small, rural, and tribal agencies to consider how evidence-based practices and also research can be implemented and carried out given the specific challenges in small agencies. This TTA occurs in multiple agencies of different types. Thus, for the "location" of this TTA, we used the CEBCP's physical address.

The Matrix Demonstration Project team receives daily questions, calls for assistance, and requests for information, presentations, short papers, and advice. This occurs multiple times each week, and questions are directed to all project staff and principal investigators. Some of the outcomes of these requests are short answers (less than an hour), while others require presentations (for example to agencies, to BJA, or to other groups), or written documents and white papers.
