During the reporting period, the PDMP TTAC team participated in weekly conference calls with BJA leaders to discuss current PDMP projects and activities. In addition, the TTAC team participated in two quarterly COSSUP Collaborative calls with BJA and other TTA providers.
During this rating period, PDMP TTAC attended two events and actively participated in group discussion sessions.
• IJIS Institute Justice and Public Safety AI Summit – Reston, VA September 4-5, 2024.
• The Assistant Secretary for Technology Policy (ASTP) Annual Meeting – Washington, DC December 4-5, 2024.
The PDMP TTAC team has been involved with BJA’s GrantStat Program in previous years, and, utilizing the GrantStat measurements, identified PDMPs in need of specialized technical assistance.BJA did not request the PDMP TTAC team’s participation in the GrantStat Program during this reporting period. The PDMP TTAC team will fully participate in GrantStat upon request and will take whatever action is deemed appropriate by BJA to assist grantees in meeting performance and deliverable requirements.
BJA leadership did not request that PDMP TTAC staff members review progress reports during this reporting period, nor have the reports been made available for review. When the reports are provided, PDMP TTAC staff members will review them to identify common grantee needs and use the information gathered to develop a more effective TTA delivery strategy. In the meantime, the PDMP TTAC staff continually draws on its relationships and experiences with PDMPs to identify new technical assistance delivery strategies.
Part of the technical assistance that the PDMP TTAC team has provided to PDMPs over the years has been assistance with grantee data collection and reporting requirements for BJA performance measures. PDMP TTAC staff members provided assistance to the Northern Mariana Islands PDMP explaining the appropriate method to report their instances of providing training on system use and Guam PDMP explaining the budget GAM process. PDMP TTAC staff members is working with the Cheyenne/Arapaho BJA Category 1 grantee on their grant budget and facilitated communication with their BJA budget section.
The PDMP TTAC team regularly coordinates conference calls for PDMP administrators to connect and discuss issues such as system enhancements, technical assistance, and promising practices. PDMP TTAC staff members facilitated and participated on the following conference calls during this reporting period:
BJA leadership determined that there was no need to develop site-specific profiles for PDMP grant recipients. However, the PDMP TTAC team continues to update the Microsoft Power BI visualization for the PDMP TTAC website detailing the goals and objectives for the latest Harold Rogers PDMP grantees.
During this reporting period, BJA leadership indicated that there was no pressing need to hold a PDMP grantee orientation webinar; however, PDMP TTAC team members will continue to offer their assistance in organizing the webinar when BJA leadership is ready to move forward with it.
